I’m a speculative fiction and fantasy author who never got the memo that dragons aren’t real. Flash fiction, short stories, fairytales and novellas, my world is sprinkled with magic and mystery, fantasy and folklore, and creatures that may or may not let you walk out alive. 

My most recent noir micro-fiction tale, ‘Old Poisons,’ was longlisted for the January 2024 NQR Prize for Flash Fiction, and I was a finalist for the NYC Midnight 2023 Flash Fiction Challenge.

When the monsters go to bed, I write articles and essays about the craft of storytelling and how to make a career out of what you love. And if you’ve got a spare minute, I’ll talk your ear off about tabletop gaming and how ttrpgs are changing how we consume and tell stories. 

I studied creative writing with Curtis Brown Creative, and content marketing and copywriting at UBC. I have professional writing experience in copywriting, travel writing and freelance journalism, and when I’m not at my computer, I can occasionally be found doing ‘real’  work behind the wheel of an ambulance.
