I’m a speculative fiction and fantasy author who never got the memo that dragons aren’t real. My worlds are sprinkled with magic and mystery, and creatures that may or may not let you walk out alive. 

I won the Write Mango Award in the 2024 Edinburgh Short Story Awards, and was longlisted for the January 2024 Not Quite Write Prize for Flash Fiction. You can find my stories in print in the genre-bending collection, Vanthology, and the Scottish Arts Trust Anthology, and published online in Factor Four Magazine and right here on my website.

When the monsters go to sleep, I write essays about the craft of storytelling and how to make a career out of what you love. And if you’ve got a spare minute, I’ll talk your ear off about tabletop gaming and how TTRPGs are changing how we consume and tell stories. 

I studied content marketing and copywriting at UBC, and creative writing with Curtis Brown Creative, and when I’m not at my computer, I can occasionally be found doing ‘real’  work behind the wheel of an ambulance.
