I’m a speculative fiction and fantasy author who never got the memo that dragons aren’t real. My worlds are sprinkled with magic and mystery, fantasy and folklore, and creatures that may or may not let you walk out alive. 

Winner of the 2024 Write Mango Award, you can find my stories in print in the Scottish Arts Edinburgh Anthology: The Outlier and Other Stories, published online in Factor Four Magazine, and right here on my website. My noir micro-fiction tale, Old Poisons, was longlisted for the January 2024 NQR Prize for Flash Fiction, and my upcoming short story collection, Little Demons, showcases an array of stories that won me a place in NYC by Midnight final two years running.

When the monsters go to bed, I write articles and essays about the craft of storytelling and how to make a career out of what you love. And if you’ve got a spare minute, I’ll talk your ear off about tabletop gaming and how TTRPGs are changing how we consume and tell stories. 

I studied content marketing and copywriting at UBC, and creative writing with Curtis Brown Creative, and when I’m not at my computer, I can occasionally be found doing ‘real’  work behind the wheel of an ambulance.
